The Mojave Sage is a low rounded sage with bright green leaves and pale blue flowers that baits the Mojave Desert. The leaves are lance-oblong to ovate, slightly pickered with small teeth and some fine grey hairs. The leaves are fragrant. The flowers are arranged generally with one papery, blue to white flower per stem.

Mojave sage is found on dry, rocky slopes within the blackbrush scrub and pinyon/juniper woodland plant communities. It prefers well-draining soils and can be overwatered in wetter climates.
