The Desert Trumpet: RECAP: Stop Music Valley Mine Community Information Meeting

A packed room of Morongo Basin residents turned out on July 15 to learn about Music Valley Mine, a proposed rare earth element mining project staked on public land just outside Joshua Tree National Park and just inside the boundaries of Twentynine Palms.

The town hall was hosted by the NPCA and the MDLT, two conservation groups that have been raising alarms about the project since early this year and which used the meeting to inform Hi-Desert residents about actions they can take.
