Mojave Desert wildlife crossings take shape with $5.5 million grant

Two desert wildlife crossings will hit the drawing board thanks to a $5.5 million state-funded grant, according to the Mojave Desert Land Trust.

The two wildlife crossings along State Route 62 are designed to provide safe routes for numerous wildlife species, including two threatened mountain lion populations, moving between the San Bernardino and Little San Bernardino mountains.
