Learn how to speak up for the environment. Our free virtual advocacy training sessions equip our communities with the tools to become advocates for public lands. You are trained in the basics of advocacy, receive an overview of public lands policy, and learn how to meet with an elected official or other decision-maker. By completion, you will be equipped with the tools and knowledge to attend your first advocacy meeting.
Sessions are divided into Advocacy 101 and 102, each an hour long. Advocacy 101 is an introduction to advocacy while Advocacy 102 dives into the specific issues threatening local public lands and gives you the opportunity to hone your skills in a mock congressional meeting. Attend both if you are new to advocacy. Public lands face unprecedented threats, but our communities are pushing back. We need people like you to make your voice heard.
