Donor advised funds (DAFs) are an increasingly popular way of making charitable contributions. This simple and tax-efficient giving option enables you to make a contribution to the DAF, receive an immediate tax deduction, and recommend grants from the fund to your favorite charities over time. When you make a Donor Advised Fund gift, it’s possible that the sponsoring organization will not share your information with us. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit and non-governmental organization, the Mojave Desert Land Trust (MDLT) can offer you a variety of tax benefits with a conservation acquisition of your property that a traditional real estate sale would not. MDLT accepts certain gifts of land to assist in support of our mission. Lands identified as strategic conservation priorities are accepted as conservation land donations. Other land donations may be accepted for their financial value in support of the work of MDLT.
