Native to washes in the low desert, this attractive tree grows well in a wide range of garden habitats and is quite drought-tolerant once established. Known for its photosynthetic green bark, it produces showy yellow flowers in spring/summer that attract native carpenter bees. Prefers well-drained soil and full sun.
