Native Plant Sale FAQ

I don’t see the plant sale on your website. Where do I go to purchase plants?
To shop for plants online, go to or go to and click on the Shop button. Plants will become available at 9am on October 11th.

Will I be able to select my plants myself when I pick up my order? 
Tensure the safest possible experience for our staff and customers, this is a no-contact purchase and pickup system. Your order will be pulled by MDLT staff prior to pickup. 

The plant I want is sold out. Can I backorder? 
We cannot offer backorders at this time. The inventory on our website represents all of our available plants.

Will you have any other plants available this month, or is the entire inventory online? 
Our entire inventory is online. There will be no new plants added.

I would like to order other merchandise from your website. Can I pick it up with my plants? 
Yes. During the plant sale, if you order any MDLT merchandise with your plants, it will be ready for you on the date you choose to pick-up your order.

I don’t see curbside pick-up as an option when ordering other types of merchandise on your website. If I do not want to purchase plants, is it possible to order other merchandise for curbside pick-up? 
Curbside pick-up is for plant orders only. Additional merchandise may be picked up only if purchased with a plant order.

Will someone be available to advise me on how to plant when I pick up my order? 
A greeter will be on site to check your invoice and direct you to your plants. However, they may not be knowledgeable about your plants. Our planting guide is online and will also be available when you pick up your order.

Is there anyone who can advise me on what plants to choose for my property? 
If you need help choosing the right plants for your property, we encourage you to browse or hire a local designer/consultant.

Why do you not allow returns or exchanges? 
To protect the health and safety of our staff and our plants, we do not accept returns or exchanges once plant material has left the premises.

I need to change my order, I ordered the wrong plant, etc.
If you need to change your order before your scheduled pick-up time, please email us at, or call (760) 366-5440 and someone will assist you. If you have already picked up your order and want return or exchange a plant, unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns at this time. 

Something came up and I need to change my pick-up time. 
Plant pickups are available on October 21 and 22 between 10am – 3pm and October 23 between 9am – 3pm. If you are unable to pickup your plants during these available pickup times, we will issue a refund.
