Morongo Basin Wildlife Linkage

The purpose of wildlife corridors is to increase biodiversity by providing links between habitat areas that are otherwise separated by human development. These linkages are important for wildlife migration, breeding, and resilience to stressors such as fires or floods. MDLT acquires land to support the development of wildlife linkages. This map of the Morongo Basin shows wildlife linkages being created north of Joshua Tree National Park, as well as the land that MDLT has acquired for this purpose to date.
