Join MDLT’s plant conservation team for a volunteer work day weeding the grounds around our headquarters building and nursery. Staff will be on hand to help with plant identification so that you can learn to tell wildflowers from weeds while helping us keep our headquarters beautiful!

Starting at 9am, Chris McDonald, Inland & Desert Natural Resources Advisor for the UC Cooperative Extension for San Bernardino County, will give a presentation on why some non-native plants become invasive and how this impacts ecosystems. He will give a brief overview of some common desert weeds, like mustards, that have spread throughout the Southern CA desert.
