Stewardship Volunteer Day is a work day geared toward introducing Volunteers to Stewardship activities such as habitat restoration and vertical mulching, monitoring and collecting data, property clean-up, installing fencing and signs; and invasive weed removal projects on our local lands.
Depending on weather and resources available on Stewardship Volunteer Day, activities could range from trash pick up to vertical mulching dirt bike trails. All activities will be conducted on our local lands in the Morongo Basin. Volunteers of all abilities and endurance levels are encouraged to participate. Training is always included.
Please wear comfortable outdoor work clothes and closed-toe shoes. Bring a hat, gloves, sunscreen, a water bottle, and whatever snacks you may need for 3 hours.
To RSVP please email email@example.com
MDLT welcomes responsible, non-motorized use of our lands, such as hiking. If you have an interest in holding an organized event on MDLT land which charges participants a fee, which would have a large number of participants, or which requires special accommodations, equipment or supplies, a Special Use Permit may be required. The permit allows us to ensure that our lands are treated respectfully and that we are able to keep them in good condition for the future enjoyment of all.
