Outdoor Ethics: How to Explore the Mojave Desert Safely While Still Having Fun

January 31 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

How can you become an eco-friendly Mojave explorer?

How do you make sure that you’re properly equipped for travel in the desert?

What is your role in conservation while enjoying recreation?

Join MDLT’s Education Coordinator for multimodal Campfire Talk where she will share the principles of outdoor ethics and exploring the desert safely, while still enjoying the recreational opportunities that are available to the intrepid Mojave explorer.  Campfire Talks are a series of presentations about the desert we love. S’more fixings and warm beverages will be offered for your enjoyment.

*We will move the presentation indoors if the weather is uncooperative.

MDLT welcomes responsible, non-motorized use of our lands, such as hiking. If you have an interest in holding an organized event on MDLT land which charges participants a fee, which would have a large number of participants, or which requires special accommodations, equipment or supplies, a Special Use Permit may be required. The permit allows us to ensure that our lands are treated respectfully and that we are able to keep them in good condition for the future enjoyment of all.
