Local Lands Patrol
February 26, 2020 @ 8:00 am – 11:00 am
A Local Patrol is a tour around our properties in the Morongo Basin with the most management concerns. We tour our properties checking for any new dumping, sign vandalism, and monitor our restoration work, among other things. These patrols typical take a few hours depending on if we need to replace a sign or document any deviation from the baseline. This is a good opportunity to learn how we collect data and monitor properties. Volunteers of all abilities and endurance levels are encouraged to participate. Training is always included.
Please wear comfortable outdoor work clothes and closed-toe shoes. Bring a hat, gloves, sunscreen, a water bottle, and whatever snacks you may need for 3 hours.

MDLT welcomes responsible, non-motorized use of our lands, such as hiking. If you have an interest in holding an organized event on MDLT land which charges participants a fee, which would have a large number of participants, or which requires special accommodations, equipment or supplies, a Special Use Permit may be required. The permit allows us to ensure that our lands are treated respectfully and that we are able to keep them in good condition for the future enjoyment of all.
