October 14 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

On Friday, October 14th, join Education Program Manager Mary Cook-Rhyne and the San Bernardino Fire Department for a Campfire Talk about fire safety and preparedness in the desert. We’ll enjoy s’mores along with a screening of I Am Cheo, a short film by Hispanic Access Foundation that explores environmental justice and wildfires through eyes of young Latino in a cinematic journey across lands that are both his history and his future. MDLT welcomes responsible, non-motorized use of our lands, such as hiking. If you have an interest in holding an organized event on MDLT land which charges participants a fee, which would have a large number of participants, or which requires special accommodations, equipment or supplies, a Special Use Permit may be required. The permit allows us to ensure that our lands are treated respectfully and that we are able to keep them in good condition for the future enjoyment of all.
